Marakele National Park and Predator park – Thabazimbi

The park is characterized by contrasting majestic mountain landscapes, grass hills and deep valleys. Rare finds of yellowwood and cedar trees, five meter high cycads and tree ferns, are some of the plant species found here and Marakele supports 765 plant species. Drive through the park and the beauty of nature. Have a picnic on the spectacular view of the mountain pass. Marakele Predator Park is a park located just out of Marakele National Park. Currently the park contains both white and tawny colored lions, Tigers, Cheetah, Wild Dogs and Hyena.

Pilanesberg National Park

The Park ranks among the largest of the national parks in South Africa and covers an area of 137 500 acres. Pilanesberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature. The beauty of Pilanesberg is reflected in a large central lake, the Mankwe Dam. You can also see the big 5 species in the park.
